Amy E. Garber


Amy E. Garber is an associate in Ober|Kaler's Litigation and Construction Groups. She handles commercial litigation matters and focuses on the construction industry. Amy has represented clients in state and federal courts in the District of Columbia and Virginia.

Amy's construction law practice includes payment disputes, government contracts, and payment and performance bond issues. Amy has represented sureties and contractors in disputes involving performance and payment bonds, as well as Miller Act claims. She also deals with various mechanics’ liens matters, including releases of liens, and advises clients on government contracts issues. In addition, Amy deals with financial and business disputes, most recently, the successful defense of a federal lender discrimination claim in federal court.

Amy was previously a litigation associate at a large DC firm and senior staff attorney at the DC Bar Board on Professional Responsibility. She now provides internal guidance on various legal ethics and professional responsibility issues.
