George F. Jones, III
Experience
George F. Jones practices law with Ober|Kaler’s Finance Group and its Creditors' Rights, Workouts and Bankruptcy Group. He advises business entities on corporate matters and represents financial institutions, equipment and leasing companies, and other lenders in commercial transactions.
George represents his clients in workouts and restructurings; in the financing of aircraft, vessels and railroad rolling stock; and in acquisition, construction and permanent financings, asset based financings, working capital financings, health care financings and tax-exempt financings.
He also provides counsel to a diverse cross section of businesses and nonprofits that range from telecommunication companies to hospitals and other health care organizations. These representations include a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including joint ventures, private and public taxable and tax-exempt financings, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, real property leasing and intellectual property licensing.
George serves on the executive committee of the Lawyers’ Campaign Against Hunger. Since 1988, the campaign has raised over $2.8 million to support the hunger–related initiatives and programs administered by the Maryland Food Bank and the Capital Area Food Bank.
