John Anthony Wolf
Experience
John Wolf is the Chairman of Ober|Kaler and practices law in the firm’s Construction and Litigation Groups. John’s focus is on construction contract negotiation, litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) matters. His clients are involved in domestic and international power, industrial, economic development, public works and commercial projects.
A fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, John has tried major construction cases in numerous jurisdictions across the country. He represents owner-developers, lenders and other funding agencies, design builders, engineers, construction managers, contractors and power generating equipment manufacturers.
John has advocated before panels of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), Center for Public Resources (CPR) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and has represented clients in mediations, mini-trials and dispute review board matters. He also regularly serves as a neutral in ADR proceedings, as an arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations, and as a mediator.
He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Washington & Lee University. John has also served as the chair of the University’s national annual fund, a member of its athletic council and as past president of the Law School Alumni Association. He also is a recipient of the University's Distinguished Alumnus Award and Honorary Order of the Coif.
For many years, John has taken an active role in organizations and institutions serving the Baltimore area, including Business Volunteers Unlimited, of which he is Chairman, the Union Memorial Hospital, the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, the Equal Justice Council and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
