Leslie Demaree Goldsmith

Experience

Leslie Demaree Goldsmith, an Ober|Kaler Health Law Group principal, brings more than 25 years of experience to her practice, representing health care providers, such as hospitals, home health agencies, ESRD facilities and skilled nursing facilities.

Her diverse experience includes Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and regulatory issues, including PPS, wage index, bad debt, quality data, medical education, DSH, ESRD, TEFRA, capital costs and cost allocation, as well as billing and claims issues. She regularly represents clients before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board, CMS Administrator, ALJs and federal courts. Leslie also provides advice to clients on Medicare-related fraud and abuse issues involving alleged improper billing and fraudulent cost reports.

Leslie is the author of numerous articles on health care topics that have been published in legal and health care financial journals. She is co-editor of Payment Matters, Ober|Kaler's publication on Medicare/Medicaid payment issues. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Nightingale’s Health Care News named her one of its ten “Outstanding Hospital Lawyers” for 2009.
