Forming Their Signature: Firm's Pro Bono Efforts with Medical-Legal Partnership Enabled Service to Flourish

August 2011

Bar Bulletin (Maryland State Bar Association)

The Bar Bulletin ran a feature on Ober|Kaler’s Project HEAL partnership, a collaborative program that enables the firm to work with local medical and legal organizations to provide pro bono legal services for children and their families. Ober|Kaler's Project HEAL partners include the Maryland Volunteers Lawyers Service, Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins Children Center.

“We wanted something we could take pride in,” [Paul Sugar, Ober|Kaler's pro bono coordinator] says. “Something people would be eager to participate in, that would increase pro bono hours, and that would, of course, do good.”
