Russell is among the nation's "Outstanding Physician Practice Lawyers – 2007" according to Nightingale's Healthcare News. Selected from a national pool of candidates, Mr. Russell shares the recognition with nine other attorneys. A health care lawyer for almost 30 years, Mr. Russell works with physicians in the planning and implementation of collaborative transactions such as affiliations and joint ventures. On a national scale, Mr. Russell represents physicians in the sensitive areas of licensing, scope of practice, billing compliance, and disciplinary matters. He has successfully represented physicians and other health care providers in state and federal investigations, professional competency hearings and licensure applications and approvals for individual and group practices.
