EHRs and ACOs: You Can't Have One Without the Other

Sarah E. Swank will present "EHRs and ACOs: You Can't Have One Without the Other" at the HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition.

EHRs will drive success for health care providers in this new era of health care delivery. This session will focus on the necessity of EHR in ACOs and other quality initiatives. Sarah will:

• Discuss the use of EHR in coordination of care efforts for ACOs
• Assess the cost effectiveness of EHRs in ACOs
• Identify the privacy requirements for ACOs under the HIPAA privacy rule and the ACO regulations
• Compare the role of EHRs in data reporting requirements for ACOs and other quality initiatives
• Evaluate the potential compliance and auditing issues facing ACOs using EHRs
