Health Lawyer Alan J. Arville Named a Principal at Ober|Kaler

WASHINGTON, DC – January 3, 2012 Ober|Kaler announced today that Alan J. Arville has been elected a principal of the firm, effective January 1, 2012.
Mr. Arville is resident in Ober|Kaler’s Washington, DC, office as a member of the firm’s Health Law Group. He focuses his practice on transactional and regulatory issues for the health care industry, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, corporate governance, managed care contracting, fraud and abuse, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D compliance, tax exemption and health care licensing. His clients include regional and national pharmacy chains, health care systems and long term care providers. He also advises nonprofit governing boards and board committees on tax-exemption law issues, conflicts of interest, bylaws preparation and general corporate governance.
In 2008, Mr. Arville was named one of the "Outstanding Young Health Care Lawyers for 2008" by Nightingale’s Healthcare News. He is also a frequent author and speaker on health care topics.
Mr. Arville is active in the American Health Lawyers Association and the DC Bar Health Law Section. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (JD, cum laude, 2003) and the University of Dayton (BA, 2000)
