Applications Available Now to Organizations Addressing Local Children and Youth Education Issues
BALTIMORE MD April 2, 2012 — The law firm Ober|Kaler announced today the launch of its annual Ober|Kaler Community Grants Program. The program awards $35,000 in community grants to aid nonprofit organizations serving at-risk youth living in Baltimore City and Washington, DC.
Ober|Kaler will award two $10,000 grants and one $15,000 special grant to nonprofit organizations with programs focused on educating, clothing, sheltering or feeding disadvantaged youth living in Baltimore City or Washington, DC. In addition to financial support, organizations may apply for a special Volunteer Supplement. Through this supplemental program, 10-20 of Ober|Kaler’s employees will volunteer their time to selected grant recipients.
Grant applications and guidelines are available now at www.ober.com/our_firm/community-grants. Completed applications must be received by Friday, August 3, 2012. All organizations applying for assistance must be certified by the Internal Revenue Service as not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organizations.
