Julie Kass Named Outstanding Young Healthcare Attorney by Nightingales

 BALTIMORE, MD - Oct 27, 2004 Ober|Kaler is pleased to announce that Health Law principal Julie E. Kass has been named among the nation's "Outstanding Young Healthcare Lawyers – 2004" by Nightingale's Healthcare News.

Ms. Kass, 35, joined Ober|Kaler in 2000 as an associate after working at the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General. In 2004, she was elected a principal of the firm. In private practice she quickly developed a national reputation as a knowledgeable resource with respect to anti-kickback and Stark statutes in addition to a variety of cutting edge issues in health law.

Ms. Kass is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. She is active in the American Health Lawyers Association. Ms. Kass received both her B.A., cum laude, and her M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1994.

Ms. Kass is a resident of Potomac, Maryland.
