Elissa Borges Joins Ober|Kaler

BALTIMORE – July 2003 Ober|Kaler is pleased to announce that Litigation associate Elissa F. Borges has joined the firm. Ms. Borges represents clients in disputes involving business, commercial, and employment matters. She has significant experience representing clients in tax controversy matters and advising clients about state and multi-state tax planning.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Borges was with the Baltimore law firm Denick & Hyman.

She is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D., 1992) and the University of Maryland (B.A. 1988).

As an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Ms. Borges serves as Chair-elect of the Taxation Section Council, served as its Treasurer and chaired its Program and Technology Committees. For the Bar Association of Baltimore City, Ms. Borges serves on the Gender Issues Committee and Judicial Selections Committee. She is a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation. Ms. Borges is involved in her community and serves on the board of the Maryland Committee for Children, Inc. and Catholic Community School, Inc.

Ms. Borges is a resident of Baltimore County.
