Public Finance

Ober|Kaler's public finance practice encompasses all aspects of tax-exempt finance transactions. We represent borrowers, underwriters and placement agents in tax-exempt financings, as well as trustees and letter of credit banks. Our firm is listed in The Bond Buyer's Municipal Marketplace (The Red Book).

In the public finance arena, our experience includes serving as:

• Borrower's counsel, underwriter's counsel and remarketing agent's counsel in connection with Section 501(c)(3) bond offerings
• Underwriter's counsel in connection with infrastructure financings
• Trustee's counsel in connection with housing and other tax-exempt financings
• Letter of credit bank counsel and borrower's counsel in connection with economic development financings

In such capacities, we provide advice in the structuring of the transaction, prepare the bond documents, prepare disclosure and other documents attendant to a public offering, provide tax advice, and render bond and tax opinions. We also advise clients in the restructuring, refunding and redemption of existing bond transactions.
