Ober|Kaler's Employee Benefits/Executive Compensation Group provides sophisticated advice to private, public and non-profit employers on all aspects of employee benefit plans. We also advise several multiemployer pension and welfare plans on a wide range of benefit issues. Our attorneys provide assistance with the design, implementation and operation of qualified plans such as 401(k) plans, employee stock ownership plans, profit sharing and defined benefit plans, tax-sheltered annuity programs, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, and health and welfare plans including cafeteria, group-health and self-funded benefits. We represent clients in connection with audits by the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor, and submissions under the Voluntary Compliance Resolution and Closing Agreement Programs. We also work with the firm's transactional attorneys on ERISA issues in mergers and acquisitions, and with the firm's trial attorneys in ERISA litigation.
