Don't Miss Deadline for Adding Issues to Pending PRRB Appeals (Generally, October 20, 2008)

Be aware that the deadline for adding issues to pending PRRB appeals is fast-approaching. For appeals filed from Notices of Program Reimbursements (NPRs) or other appealable determinations received on or before February 23, 2008, the deadline is October 20, 2008.
Click to continue...CMS Issues FY 2010 Hospital Wage Index Development Timetable
Hospitals should start to review their FY 2006 wage data that will be used for the FY 2010 wage index. CMS recently issued the timetable for reviewing this data. The complete timetable can be found at CMS' web site . CMS will release two preliminary FY 2010 wage index files on October 6, 2008: (1) the unaudited FY 2006 Worksheet S-3 wage data file and (2) the 2007-2008 occupation mix survey data. The first deadline for hospitals to submit requests to revise their Worksheet S-3 wage data and occupation mix data is December 8, 2008. This is a change in the deadline as originally specified by CMS as December 5, 2008.
