Gary has actively expanded the firm's Business & Tax Group's scope of practice. With over thirty years of experience handling tax, estate, health and business matters, he represents entrepreneurial and institutional business organizations and individuals in all aspects of state, federal and multi-state tax matters including all aspects of Internal Revenue Service and state tax controversy and compliance; estates and trusts; and business matters.
Gary's state and multi-state experience is unique and extensive. Having been in charge of the revision of the Maryland tax law, he is intimately familiar with the intricacies and opportunities presented by state and local tax matters on both the legal and legislative fronts. His experience as founder and chair of the Maryland State Bar Association State Tax Study Group, as a member of the Taxation Committee of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and as a frequent author and lecturer on tax matters have enabled him to obtain significant beneficial results for his clients.
