Sharon is an experienced trial attorney in jury and non-jury cases. She also represents clients in administrative proceedings and through ADR procedures, with extensive experience arbitrating commercial disputes under the complex and commercial case rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Sharon's practice spans a wide range of civil litigation matters, representing health care institutions, high-tech companies, equipment manufacturers, private educational institutions, banks, and telecommunications companies, among others.
Sharon regularly counsels employers on legal issues relating to the employer/employee relationship, providing advice to avoid litigation. Some of the issues Sharon frequently addresses include enforcement of covenants not to compete; executive and professional employment contracts; negotiation of
separation packages; decisions with regard to hiring, firing and promotion; outsourcing and independent contractor issues; wage and hour issues; implementation of reduction in force plans; drug testing and other privacy issues; and compliance with Title VII, ADA, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, workers' compensation claims and other federal and state laws.

Representative matters include:
- Successful defense of claims alleging breach of contract and violation of various state franchise laws in multiple jurisdictions
- Successful defense of several assisted living and adult day care companies against discrimination claims
- Successful defense of breach of contract and related claims against a software company, as well as the successful assertion of claims by software consulting companies to collect amounts owed
- Successful resolution of a pro bono plaintiff's civil rights case
- Successful defense of claims alleging negligence and breach of contract in a "sick building" case
- Representation of a prevailing party in a three-week jury trial in federal court on claims of sexual harassment
- Successful defense of a construction equipment lessor from products liability claims asserted during a nine day jury trial
- Successful defense of antitrust claims arising under the Robinson-Patman, Sherman and Clayton Acts
- Successful defense of a trade association and its members in an action alleging an illegal affirmative action program
- Significant experience defending a range of class action lawsuits.
