The Ober|Kaler Community Grants Program is a key part of our firm’s commitment to the communities in which our employees live and work. Since our firm’s founding in 1903, we have been dedicated to supporting the many community organizations that enhance the lives of those who call the Maryland and Washington, DC area home. The annual Ober|Kaler Community Grants Program, established in 2003 on the occasion of the firm’s 100th anniversary, demonstrates our commitment to good corporate citizenship through financial support and volunteerism.
Each year the Ober|Kaler Community Grants Program aids ambitious nonprofit organizations dedicated to addressing the education and welfare needs of at-risk children and youth in Baltimore City and Washington, DC. In addition to financial support, organizations may apply for a special Volunteer Supplement. Through this supplemental program, 10-20 of Ober|Kaler’s employees will volunteer their time to selected grant recipients. As of 2013, the program has awarded over $400,000 in grants.
The Ober|Kaler Community Grants Program is administered by a committee of employees who represent various groups within the firm. Each year, the committee reviews and awards the three annual grants and oversees the Volunteer Supplement.
